Classic and highly recognizable Phillips 66 shield service station sign, featuring the iconic red, white, and black color scheme associated with the brands post-war identity.
This example is single-sided porcelain enamel on steel and retains strong gloss and vibrant color with light surface wear and minor edge chipping consistent with age and prior use.

The Phillips 66 shield design became firmly established during the late 1930s and throughout the 1940s as one of the most enduring symbols of American roadside culture.
Signs of this style were widely used at service stations along major highways, including early sections of Route 66, making them highly desirable among collectors of petroleum advertising and automobilia.

This sign is dated 1947 and retains its original die-cut shield form.
Its bold typography and period graphics provide excellent display appeal for garage dcor or vintage advertising collections.
