The BEST true 4x4 off-road street legal, mud riding, hunting vehicle money can buy.
This is a solid Pinzgauer 710M.
This classic 1975 version is a true Swiss Army truck.
This vehicle was built by the German's (Steyr Puch related to Mercedes) for the Swiss army.
As you can guess, it never saw combat.
It is truly a unique truck.
It is set up as a troop transport vehicle which can carry 8 in the rear and 2 up front.
The engine is a 4 cylinder air cooled gasoline engine.
It is a 5 speed manual with a high and low gear and reverse.
Lockers in the center of the dash allow you to lock in the front differentials, rear differentials or all 4 by the pull of a lever.
The Pinz SSI (solid state ignition) was added as an upgrade from the traditional distributor and points set up.
Two brand new Zenith Carbs were added recently and have very little mileage on them.
Spark plugs and wires were replaced at the same time.
On the front there is a traditional military pintle hook.
On the rear, the pintle hook has been changed to a box end receiver hitch for using racks and/or pulling a trailer.
The rear seats have been recovered; but with an original look.
The rear seats lay down and make a full queen size sleeping berth and/or truck bed.
The canvas is all original.
While a sound absorbing headliner was added to the cab, this vehicle can be a convertible by merely removing the front canvas.
The front doors separate so the glass comes off and actually stores in holes located on the sides in the rear.
The rear canvas can be put down in colder months or rolled up in warmer months.
In the cab, the original army seats were replaced with more comfortable smart car seats with the Pinzgauer seat mounting frames welded to the replacement seats.
There is an air compressor mounted behind the front drivers seat which is fully operational.
A high jack is mounted in the rear for use if needed.
The truck was refurbished in 2022 when most of the electrical switches were all cleaned and reinstalled with plug and play connections for ease of maintenance later.
All four wheels have their own oil reservoir and most plugs changed out to standard sockets for ease of oil changes.
Tires are virtually new.
This truck is registered for street use in Louisiana through 2025.
A rear spot light was installed for use as a reverse light and/or rear spot light if needed.
In front the headlights were upgraded to LED and the light bar alone was over $1,000 with smaller flood lights mounted to the side.
The light rack on the front is custom built by the Pinz Professor himself, Andre Swanson.
Custom sound deadening and proofing has been installed during the refurbish using Second Skin Audio products.
There has been a ton of love and work done to this truck.
The seller is losing his vision and is unable to drive any longer.
This truck needs a home where it can get out and play.
It comes with a complete Pinzgauer tool kit along with the original shovel and axe.
