The 1961 409 Bel Air bubbletops are rare because in the 409�s first year of production, only 142 cars emerged from the factory so equipped.
The VIN number on this Bel Air is #11637S128521 shows that it is a real V8 Bel Air too.
The only interior addition is the column-mounted tachometer that was standard with the high-output 409.
The 409 �W�-head big block features dual quad carbs on an aluminum intake manifold, high performance cam and high-flow headers and dual exhaust system, red spark plug wires and hoses, Edelbrock polished valve covers and air cleaner, performance coil and distributor, and a very detailed engine compartment.
The motor is out of the 62 Chevy bubble top it had 425 hp, but it had a performance rebuild and it was bored out 30,000, with a new aluminum Edelbrock heads, 2 four barrell set up with carburetors and linkage, Albert Rock installed 4 inch stroker kit, Eagle crank pistons and rods balanced and blueprinted, Isky cam and Scorpion rocker arms, kakes this engine now put out over 525 horsepower!
The rear end is a posit traction with 373 gears, ram clutch kit with aluminum flywheel the best of everything in this motor which has $11,000 in it.
