1982 400i Ferrari Chassis
Ferrari Dino engine
In 1956 Enzo Ferrari commissioned Sergio Scaglietti to produce an all Aluminum racing body to compete in major racing championships.
As a result of Mr.
Scaglietti design, Ferrari produced 2 prototypes for the race circuit.
These 250 Tessa Rossas dominated their competitors, winning 10 World Sport Car Championship races, including the 24 Hours Of Lemans.
Ferrari built 34 street versions for the sport car enthusiast.
Slim and graceful, the 250 TR is best remembered for the Scaglietti signature headrest behind the driver, as well as the cutouts behind the front wheels, giving the race car a very distinct pontoon appearance.
This proved to be a very successful design.
There are only a few of these spirited automobiles known to exist today, one of which resides in the famous Ralph Lauren Private Collection.
The last known documented sale of one of these extremely rare cars was in 2011 at a Gooding Auction for $16,390,000.00.
This special “ALL ALUMINUM BODY” RECREATION is a true rolling piece of art.
The body was hand crafted by the best metal craftsmen to exact specifications of the original.
This automobile was 10 “pain staking” years in the making.
The end result is a magnificent pleasure to drive.
THIS IS A VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A VERY UNIQUE AUTOMOBILE.
