CHARLES GERST, OF SO CAL, DESCRIBED THIS CAR AS "ONE OF THE BEST 57 CHEVY'S IN THE COUNTRY." THIS 57 CHEVY WAS RACED AT THE LIONS DRAG STRIP AS WELL AS THE SANTA ANNA DRAG STRIP IN ITS EARLY LIFE.
WHEN THE CAR WAS PURCHASED BY SO CAL, IT HAD BEEN IN LONG TERM STORAGE AND SHOWED JUST 200 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, WHICH IS BELIEVED TO BE CORRECT DUE TO THE OVERALL VEHICLES CONDITION.
ALL THE BODY AND FLOOR PANELS WERE ORIGINAL TO THE CAR AND WERE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION BEFORE THE RESTORATION BEGAN.
