The world had caught Mustang fever after the introduction of the 1964 1/2 model, and Ford was working double time to try and keep up with demand.
The factory in Dearborn, Michigan pumped out a whopping 607,568 Mustangs between August of 1965 and July of 1966.
A rare 1st generation 1965 Red Mustang convertible.
The restored 1965 is painted a beautiful red with black interior and Mustang convertible top.
The Mustang�s engine is a 289 cu in that was rebuilt, 4 bbl carb that looks almost like it did as it left the factory with factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, chrome open air cleaner, chrome valve covers, performance spark plug wires, newer dual exhaust with mufflers and tips, and automatic transmission.
The restoration on this Mustang included a refreshed interior w/new carpet, new door panels, new dash cover and period correct black bucket seats w/center console, radio w/cassette player, and correct three-spoke Mustang steering wheel.
It has pristine chrome and stainless trim also.
