Jerome Silberman (June 11, 1933 � August 29, 2016), known professionally as Gene Wilder, was an American actor, comedian, writer and filmmaker.
He is known mainly for his comedic roles, but also for his portrayal of Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971), his work with Mel Brooks on the films The Producers (1967), Blazing Saddles (1974) and Young Frankenstein (1974), as well as his four films with Richard Pryor: Silver Streak (1976), Stir Crazy (1980), See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989) and Another You (1991).[1]Richard Franklin Lennox Thomas Pryor (December 1, 1940 � December 10, 2005) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer.
He reached a broad audience with his trenchant observations and storytelling style, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential stand-up comedians of all time.
