Vicari Motorsports

The win at No Problem Raceway.

Pete G. Vicari, founder and owner of Vicari Motorsports, paid his dues in the past years. Racing anything and everything from Jr. Dragsters to AA/Alcohol Funny Cars. Pete has spent a lot of time at the drag races throughout the U.S. He also raced “The Race Across America” and finished 3rd. This past year Pete and his wife Barbara competed in The Great Race 2013 and they have plans in competing in the 2014 event as the official sponsor.

Pete, the President & CEO of Vicari Companies, uses his drag racing as an outlet when he needs to get away from it all. The excitement of the raceway has also passed down to his oldest son P.J.

P.J., Job Senior Estimator for Pete Vicari General Contractor Inc., graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School, attended Holy Cross College and transferred to Pensacola Junior College studying General Contracting. P.J. has been driving in NHRA and IHRA competition since he was 8 years old. He started in Jr. Dragster in 1994 and in the following years, consistently placed in the top three.

PJ with one of numerous trophies he has received through the years.

The win at No Problem Raceway. In 1991 he stepped up to a Super Gas Corvette and competed successfully thru 2001.  2001 brought the S/C Dragster which he has competed with till 2006.  He is a Winning Driver with the ability to Represent Your Product in a manner that will make you proud of the Association. In 2006 PJ started racing Top Dragster in NHRA & IHRA Competition. Finishing in the top ten, since than has been a standard. The track Championship in 2008 was decided with PJ driving 4 different dragsters, finishing 2nd.

P.J. took a much needed break to get married, start a family and concentrate on his career as Job Superintendent, so during the years of 2009-2012, he did very little racing. This may have been a good move, because in 2013, P.J. had a winning streak. He wins at Baytown with the divisional opener, a few weeks later, wins the JEGS NHRA Cajun SPORTSnationals at Belle Rose, next he just misses the win at Atlanta, finishing 2nd; only to come back and win his 3rd divisional at his home state track, No Problem Raceway. 2013 PJ became the Division 4 Champion.
